If you get tired of traveling and want to rest, then rest in the heat because they switch off the A/C during the day and bed bugs will not let you sleep at night. The condition of the toilet or bathroom is so bad that you will go into a coma.

It's a favorite with the Arab/Indian people, it seems like, very very basic amenities, wifi only for 5G gadgets, tough luck of your phone can only handle 2G. They have lockers as safety deposit boxes. If you can handle the inconveniences like snoring ppl and foot smells you save money.

Ploy Hostel is the cheapest hostel you can find in Bangkok. As you can imagine, that attracts all kind of people. I guess 90 percent of the other guests are long-term migrant workers from countries like India or Ethiopia. Some of them are still looking for a job in Thailand. Mostly good folks, but bear in mind that Ploy Hostel has NO backpacker vibe at all. There are many dorm rooms spread out over 3 floors, it feels very crowded, narrow stairs/hallways. It's OK if you are on a very tight budget. At check in you have to pay THB 100 deposit. The staff is friendly and the location is good, near Khao San Road. Free wifi. There are small lockers available. Hygiene is not good, bathrooms are not very clean. If you just want the cheapest hostel, it's an option to stay here for a night.
